Your Questions, Answered

Selecting the perfect venue for your wedding can be a daunting task, and we understand that you may have numerous queries to ensure that Chatton Lakes is the ideal choice for your special day.

In an effort to assist you, below is a list of frequently asked questions to address any queries that you may have.

What is included in the hire ?

By hiring Chatton Lakes you receive exclusive access to the entire venue on the day of your wedding (or on all days if you have a multi-day wedding booking)

Can we use our own suppliers ?

We do have a list of recommended suppliers. You are more than welcome to use any suppliers you choose. The decision is yours!

Are there any additional charges ?

Unlike some other venues, we don’t charge for anything other than the venue hire. After booking Chatton Lakes, you are free to use any suppliers you wish and we will never add anything to the agreed price.

Do you have mains electricity onsite ?

We recommend that you hire a generator for the duration of your wedding. Whilst there is an electricty supply nearby, its capacity is limited and should be relied on as a backup to the generator or for use during setting up or clearing out.

How many days are included in the venue hire ?

You may start setting up your wedding 2 days prior to the wedding day (or prior to the first day of a multi-day wedding booking).  Everything will need to be removed from the site the day after your wedding (or the day after a multi-day wedding). Please note that the lakes may still be fished by anglers during the setup/clear-up days.

Is there ample car parking at Chatton Lakes ?

There is ample car parking available for both your guests and suppliers close to the marquee pitch.

Can we have camping ?

Yes.  As you have exclusive use of the venue, you may erect tipis, tents etc. which must be setup on the caravan pitches. Campervans or motorhomes may also be parked on our caravan pitches for the duration of your wedding.

At what time do we need to finish ?

Music and evening entertainment must stop by 11:30pm, with guests who are not camping onsite vacating the venue by 12:30am.

Can we have fireworks ?

Yes, although we kindly request that firework displays are finished by 10.30pm

Are dogs allowed ?

We can consider allowing a dog under certain circumstances.  This should be discussed with us at the time of booking.

Is Chatton Lakes a licensed venue ?

At Chatton Lakes we do not have a licence for a civil wedding ceremony but under current English laws we can host a celebrant led wedding ceremony without the need for a licence.

A Temporary Events Notice (TEN) will need to be acquired before each wedding for alcohol consumption and live music.  This is a straightforward  process which we can happily assist you with.
