By hiring Chatton Lakes you receive exclusive access to the entire venue on the day of your wedding (or on all days if you have a multi-day wedding booking)
We do have a list of recommended suppliers. You are more than welcome to use any suppliers you choose. The decision is yours!
Unlike some other venues, we don’t charge for anything other than the venue hire. After booking Chatton Lakes, you are free to use any suppliers you wish and we will never add anything to the agreed price.
We recommend that you hire a generator for the duration of your wedding. Whilst there is an electricty supply nearby, its capacity is limited and should be relied on as a backup to the generator or for use during setting up or clearing out.
You may start setting up your wedding 2 days prior to the wedding day (or prior to the first day of a multi-day wedding booking). Everything will need to be removed from the site the day after your wedding (or the day after a multi-day wedding). Please note that the lakes may still be fished by anglers during the setup/clear-up days.
There is ample car parking available for both your guests and suppliers close to the marquee pitch.
Yes. As you have exclusive use of the venue, you may erect tipis, tents etc. which must be setup on the caravan pitches. Campervans or motorhomes may also be parked on our caravan pitches for the duration of your wedding.
Music and evening entertainment must stop by 11:30pm, with guests who are not camping onsite vacating the venue by 12:30am.
Yes, although we kindly request that firework displays are finished by 10.30pm
We can consider allowing a dog under certain circumstances. This should be discussed with us at the time of booking.
At Chatton Lakes we do not have a licence for a civil wedding ceremony but under current English laws we can host a celebrant led wedding ceremony without the need for a licence.
A Temporary Events Notice (TEN) will need to be acquired before each wedding for alcohol consumption and live music. This is a straightforward process which we can happily assist you with.
